About Common Sense Kid
At the start of the covid pandemic Common Sense Kid spent lockdowns learning music, production and audio mixing as something to do and keep himself sane. With a love of UK ska, punk, reggae, dub and electronic music he wanted to blend these genres of music together…after learning how to play the instruments.
In 2021 Common Sense Kid started speaking to Chris Reeves of Ska Punk International when it was a podcast, it its infancy. Common Sense Kid had a track featured on an SPI compilation called ‘Songs for Moms’ raising money for anAmerican cancer charity and self-released an EP called ‘Maybe this is a midlife Crisis?’ in October 2021. During this time (most of it spent online) CSK started creating a small following.
In 2023 CSK released his debut Album “A for Effort, E for Attainment” on the now SPI Records which got more people listening and was mentioned highly in several ‘Album of the Year’ reviews at the end of 2023
